Kiln dried sand is used to strengthen block driveway and patio paving.
Dried Kiln sand is used between the joints of paving blocks.
Keep the sand dry and use when the block paving is dry.
Sand must be dry when used because the jointing sand needs to fall between the gaps of the paving blocks to stabilize and strengthen.
The amount of dry sand needed is dependent on the size of the joints and the depth of the paving.
For a standard 50mm block paving you are most likely to sand an area of 15 - 20 square meters with a maxi bag of kiln dried sand.
