Pudsey Carnival is springtime community event which started in 1898 and originally only ran for three years. It recommenced in the early 1930's until shortly after the the second world war. It was resurrected again by local volunteers in 1988 and has run every year since then.
Farmac Building Supplies have for many years been great supporters of Pudsey Carnival. This is a fantastic event that captures the community spirit of our town and we are proud to be involved.
In 2019 we will again be paying for the main 'Farmac' carnival stage which will be the centre of attention for a day of fun and frollics. We also provide bulk bags for rubbish bins, road marking pins, demarkation tape and spray marker for setting out the field and of course we meet on the field at 6.00am to help set up on the day.
We also provide our wagons for carnival floats and for the last couple of years we've had all 3 trucks in the parade, being used by local volunteer organisations. Our van is also in use bringing tents, cones and other equipment to the field and tidying away once the show is over.
It's a very long day but well worth it. We may be involved on the day but that is nothing compared to Simon Seary and his team who spend months organising one of Yorkshires premier carnival events. We are looking forward to another fantastic day this year on Saturday 18th May 2019. The parade sets off from Queens Park at 12.00noon.
